ASLC Gaming
ASLC Gaming is a student-run organization that hosts gaming events and socials to build a community of casual and competitive gamers in the Tallahassee area. We work towards fostering engagement among audiences for all types of games and all types of gamers. We host monthly events like Tabletop Tuesday, Thursday Throwdown, and Final Friday to bring together the gaming community at Florida State!
FSU Esports
Esports at Florida State University is a student-run organization that provides a foundation for our school's many competitive gaming teams. We have teams in many current gaming titles and are always looking to expand into new games if there is a sufficient collegiate player base. We compete in different collegiate gaming leagues including Tespa, CLoL, Collegiate Star League, and AVGL. We also compete in local college tournaments across our region.
Our organization is also open to anyone interested in the greater professional esports scene including the Overwatch League, League of Legends Championship Series, and many others.
Dagorhir @ FSU
Dagorhir Battle Games is the oldest and arguably the largest live-action roleplay / combat organization in the United States, with chapters in nearly every state. Although Dagorhir originally focused on combat and role play, the culture of Dagorhir has expanded to include “medieval arts and sciences” where members try to outdo one another in creating “period” equipment, clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Dagorhir @ FSU is a local chapter with on campus and off campus members that extend far into the Tallahassee community. No experience is required, and community gear is provided for recreational enjoyment. We also offer arts and crafts, tutorials, and more to everyone interested. Whether you want to fight with a sword and shield or if you want to build your own gear and clothing, Dagorhir @ FSU is guaranteed to have something to pique your interest. No experience in martial arts or medieval combat is necessary to get involved. Welcome to the Great Game! All participants must sign a waiver to participate.
Humans vs. Zombies
HvZ is a version of Nerf Tag that is played at FSU! There are two teams, humans who carry Nerf blasters and socks, and zombies who do not carry blasters or socks, but tag instead. The goal of zombies is to tag all of the humans to turn them into zombies. The goal of the humans is to survive the zombie horde and complete missions through strategy and teamwork.
Intramural Esports with Campus Recreation
Intramural Esports covers sports franchises and Super Smash Bros. Our offerings this fall include tournaments MLB The Show20, NBA2K20, NHL20, Madden20, FIFA20 on Xbox, and Playstation consoles, and Super Smash Bros on Nintendo Switch. All registration takes place on our schedule portal, imleagues.com/fsua. We are still learning which format(s) work best for our users and will adapt as needed. We will also look to incorporate the 2021 versions of these titles in addition to the 2020s as the new versions have begun to roll out.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer is a student organization that hosts gaming events tailored to appeal to the casual audience. In other words, we host events that anyone can enjoy no matter their prior experience with the activity. Our events focus on anything from sit-down tabletop games to online video games.
